HI! I'M JACK :)
A proud native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Jack discovered his love for theatre at the age of eight, debuting as Marvelous the Flying Monkey in a reimagined production of The Wizard of Oz. From that moment on, he was hooked, and he's never looked back.
By fourteen, Jack had already stepped into a leadership role, beginning his journey as a theatre educator. He started as a Counselor-in-Training at a local summer camp, where he returned for seven consecutive years, taking on increasing responsibilities, including Acting Instructor, StageCraft Instructor, and eventually Camp Manager. As a teaching artist, Jack is passionate about helping students find connection through art—art that makes them feel, think, and grow. Witnessing the joy that theatre brings to young people solidified Jack’s calling, and, in 2020, he committed fully to a career in arts education.
Jack earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Education and Massachusetts State Teaching Licensure from Emerson College. While there, he immersed himself in all aspects of production—acting, directing, and producing—working on thirteen shows in just seven semesters. He also served as Executive Director of Emerson’s renowned student theatre organization, Kidding Around, which focuses on educational theatre, social-emotional learning, and accessible performance for all audiences. In 2024, Jack led the organization’s first large-scale touring production since 2019, bringing theatre back on the road with enthusiasm and heart.
Now with nearly a decade of teaching experience, Jack has worked across a wide range of educational settings, from school-based programs to after-school and community organizations. He’s contributed to curriculum development for institutions including Lexington Public Schools, Hyde Square Task Force in Boston, Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, and Children’s Musical Theater San Jose. In Summer 2025, he returned to his alma mater, Saint Francis High School, as Summer Drama Director, and he continues to serve there today as an educator and the Dramatic Arts Production Coordinator.
At the core of Jack’s philosophy is a deep belief in the transformative power of the arts. He views theatre as essential. To him, it is not only a form of expression but a tool for personal development, empathy, and resilience. He prioritizes process over product, aiming to create classroom and rehearsal environments where students can safely explore, take risks, and thrive.
Jack currently resides in San Jose, CA. To learn more about his work, please visit the Résumé and Recommendations page.
